Welcome to the home of Chough Digital. Founded in 1980 by former radio presenter Chris Blount, Chough aims to support and promote local culture by celebrating Cornish Dialect and music-making. Chough Digital also believes that archive recordings are a valuable part of our heritage and should be made available in modern formats for all to hear.
Chough Digital is the one-stop shop for sounds of Cornwall, past and present. Check out our growing collection of Cornish music and Cornish dialect recordings, including male voice choirs, pub singing (check out the Cadgwith Singers!) and Cornish humour from the likes of Mrs. Rosewarne and Ray Shaddick.
Chris has also striven to make recordings fit for broadcasting by bringing quality equipment to any location. Hundreds of LPs, tapes and CDs have been produced for bands, choir, solo artists and others, using every type of building from schools to churches, village halls to open-air settings.
